NEWARK, CALIF. — Logitech expanded its lineup of portable Bluetooth speakers with the addition of the X300, available this month for a $69.99 suggested retail. It also added a low-priced 2.1 computer speaker system.
The X300 features specially angled drivers, Logitech said, meant to provide “an expansive sound spectrum, with precise bass response and detailed mids and highs.” Details include a 30-feet range, five-hour battery life, 3.5mm aux input, on-device controls and the ability to use it as a speakerphone. It charges via MicroUSB.
The speaker measures 5.9 inches long by 2.8 inches wide by 2.7 inches high. It’s offered in four colors: black, red, blue and purple.
Logitech also offers a smaller Bluetooth speaker, the X100, as well as the UE Boom and UE Mini Boom under its Ultimate Ears brand. The company has placed a strong emphasis on its commitment to the smartphone and tablets accessories category as part of its turnaround strategy.
The company also added a low-priced 2.1 speaker system, the Z213 priced at a $29.99 suggested retail.
Features include a down-firing subwoofer with a 4-inch driver and adjustable bass, a wired control pod and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The system will be available this month.
