Seoul, South Korea — LG Electronics is cleaning up.
The CE and majap manufacturer has marked a new milestone, having sold more than 20 million washers worldwide over the past five years.
That translates into one washer sale every 8 seconds across 160 markets, the company said.
LG attributed its success in large measure to its machines’ 6 Motion Direct Drive technology, which provides six different tub motions: tumbling, scrubbing, filtration, rolling, stepping and swing. Applied individually or in combination, the movements provide “powerful washing results,” the company said.
“Since day one, LG has focused solely on developing innovative technologies that benefit consumers first and foremost,” noted Chris Yi, executive VP, LG Electronics Home Appliance Company. “When you build the products that customers want and take care of them throughout the lifecycle of the product, your market share will be a reflection of their satisfaction.”
