Clearwater, Fla. – A new InSeam install kit developed by iSimple to add Bluetooth to automaker sound systems offers simpler installation, improved connections to factory steering-wheel-mounted controls, and more robust music-playback controls compared to its predecessor, the company said.
The $189-suggested InSeam PRO, which delivers hands-free and stereo Bluetooth, is designed for select Audi, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, GMC, Jeep, Mercedes and Volkswagen vehicles with a Can databus system. It can be connected to a factory or aftermarket radio in two ways. One is with RCA connectors for OEM head units with aux audio input, and the other is via standard Motorola-style antenna connectors for radios without an aux input.
The InSeam PRO retains factory features and, with the addition of Bluetooth AVRCP, enables the factory radio and steering-wheel controls to adjust the volume and select the tracks on most smartphone/tablet music players and Internet radio apps. The component also works with a free iOS or Android app to aid in setup and activating user features that promote driver safety.
A steering-wheel control button can be designated to launch the mobile device’s hands-free personal assistant.
iSimple is an AAMP of America brand. The iSimple lineup includes car-integration kits, FM modulators for MP3 players and smartphones, docking stations, headphones, battery chargers and the like.
