Hunter Douglas, a manufacturer of custom window treatments, is growing its line of wireless window shades to include voice control.
The PowerView Motorization system lets homeowners control their window treatments using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Users were previously able to program Scenes to set shade positions throughout the day using a remote control or the PowerView mobile app; now, for example, they can say, “Good Morning” and watch as the shades rise.
The treatments are also compatible with home-automation systems from Nest, Logitech and Control4. They’re sold through Hunter Douglas’ network of dealers.
