CEDA Expo: Severtson Screens Shows Enhanced Legacy Line

Severtson Screens is offering a new pricing model for its Legacy Series fixed-frame projection screens and has added a bright white acoustically transparent (BWAT) screen material to its lineup. It is showing the screens at this week’s CEDIA Expo.

The BWAT screen allows for the installation of speakers directly behind the screen surface. With virtually no loss to the audio soundstage, along with sharp image quality, the company said.

The Legacy Series’ acoustic material is framed on a 30-degree angle to avoid moiré, and its AT surface is washable with mild soap and water, while also being flame retardant and mildew resistant.

Additional features include a heavy-duty contoured 3 1/8-inch aluminum frame wrapped in light absorbing black velvet; Severtson’s exclusive Tension Rod system to help as flat a surface as possible; and sliding mounting brackets for ease of installation and horizontal adjustment.

Screens are available in 16:9, 1.78:1, 16:10, 1.6:1 WidePC, 2.35:1 CinemaScope, and 4:3 formats.

Basic materials include Cinema White and Cinema Grey choices.

Severtson manufactures all its screens in three Arizona-based production facilities.

The company will also show several 3D screens.
