Canon introduced its first PowerShot digital camera with 4K video recording.
Positioned toward consumers who want to transition from smartphone photography, the PowerShot SX740 HS features built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, a 40x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 24-960mm), and a 20.3-megapixel CMOS imaging sensor. It can record 4K video at 30 fps.
The camera also has a DIGIC 8 image processor, dual-sensing image stabilization, automatic image transfer, a feature assistant and a 3-inch LCD screen that rotates 180 degrees.
It can capture high-speed continuous shooting up to 7.4 fps.
The SX740 HS comes in black or silver for a $399 suggested retail. Shipping is slated this month.
