Southfield, Mich. – Automotive aftermarket supplier Brandmotion continues to expand its selection of rear-vision cameras with four new models that connect to a vehicle’s display radio.
The cameras come with vehicle-specific wiring harnesses with factory-matching connectors to connect the camera to the OEM display.
Automakers are moving to larger displays with touchscreens that control connected smartphones to make driving safer, said president Jeff Varick. Brandmotion is leveraging those displays to create a safer driving experience for drivers when maneuvering in and out of parking spaces and tight spots, he said.
The four new SKUs, priced at $195, include the 9002-8538 for select 2013 and 2014 General Motors vehicles, the 9002-8536 for 2013 and 2014 Subaru vehicles, and the 9002-8535, which is the company’s first application to for 2013 and 2014 Mazda vehicles. Part 9002-8534 is designed for select 2014 and 2015 Toyota vehicles equipped with a 24-pin factory connector.
In addition, the company has upgraded part 9002-8532, intended for select 2008 to 2014 Chryslers, to work with the new Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango equipped with a 52-pin factory connector and 8.4-inch and 5-inch displays.
The kits join the recently launched 1009-6503 for 2013-2014 Rams equipped with 5-inch or 8.4-inch displays, 9002-8537 for 2012-2013 Honda Civics, 9002-8531 for select 2011 to 2014 Chryslers, and 9002-8530 for 2012 to 2014 Toyota vehicles.
