Frigidaire has added a new entry to its Gallery line with a feature rarely seen in mainstream kitchen ranges: the ability to bake pizza at 750 °F. The 30″ Front Control Range with Stone-Baked Pizza is available in gas (GCFG3070BF), induction (GCFI3070BF), and electric (GCFE3070BF) versions, as well as single and double wall oven models. Each is designed to serve as a complete cooking solution while also functioning as a dedicated high-heat pizza oven.
This development is noteworthy because most standard residential ovens top out at around 550 °F, leaving home cooks to rely on specialty countertop ovens or outdoor equipment to satisfy their Neapolitan-style pizza cravings. Frigidaire’s approach is to integrate that capability into a standard 30″ footprint without requiring additional space or separate appliances.
Design

The range’s exterior utilizes Frigidaire’s smudge-resistant stainless-steel finish, intended to reduce fingerprints and maintain a cleaner look with less maintenance. The appliance fits into a standard 30″ kitchen cutout, and the manufacturer backs this with a “Fit Promise” program, offering reimbursement up to $100 for any necessary modifications during installation.
The gas model includes five burners: a high-output 18,000 BTU Quick Boil burner that provides strong stovetop output for boiling and searing, a center oval burner designed for griddles, and three additional sealed burners to cover a range of heating needs. The induction and electric variants use a smoothtop surface with bridging elements to accommodate oversized cookware.

Control is handled through a 4.3-inch capacitive touch display, paired with physical knobs on the gas and electric models, and touch controls on the stovetop with the induction model. The interface provides access to all cooking modes, while the design language keeps controls front-facing for a built-in look.
Frigidaire includes accessories tailored to the pizza feature, and each unit comes with a 15″ x 15″ stone, a wooden peel, and a dedicated heat shield that directs thermal energy to the stone surface while protecting the oven cavity. These accessories can be stored in the unit’s lower drawer when not in use.

Stone-Baked Pizza Mode
Starting around $2,299, the range is priced higher than most mid-market alternatives, but this is because of the signature feature of this range’s ability to reach 750 °F in the main cavity. With the heat shield and stone in place on rack position seven–very close to the top heating element–the oven is designed to simulate the conditions of a brick pizza oven, and can produce pizzas up to 14 inches in diameter in as little as two minutes after preheating.
This approach differentiates the appliance from countertop pizza ovens, which are typically limited to smaller diameter pies and require additional counter space and storage when not in use. It also avoids the need to construct a dedicated area for outdoor propane or wood-fired units, which is good news for dwellings without adequate backyard space or zoning.
While the pizza mode is the headline feature, it operates within the same oven cavity as standard modes, which means users trade the specialization of a standalone oven for the versatility of an integrated design–a welcome feature for kitchens with limited counterspace.
Cooking Modes and Features

Frigidaire has included more than 15 cooking modes in this series. Options vary slightly by fuel type, but common settings include:
- Air Fry
- Steam Bake
- Steam Roast
- Air Sous Vide
- Convection Bake
- Convection Roast
- Bread Proof
- Dehydrate
- Slow Cook
- No Preheat

These functions are intended to reduce reliance on countertop appliances. For example, Air Fry and Dehydrate address two of the most popular small-appliance categories currently in kitchens, while Steam Bake and Steam Roast add moisture-assisted modes for bread and proteins. We own multiple air fryers and a traditional round-style rack dehydrator, so not having to clutter up the countertop with appliances because of the included cooking modes left us more room to prep food and feel less confined in our kitchen.
Cleaning features of the range also include a short Steam Clean cycle for light soil and a Self Clean option with selectable durations of 2, 3, or 4 hours for deeper cleaning.
Our Testing Experience

TWICE had the opportunity to test out the Frigidaire 30″ Front Control Range with Stone-Baked Pizza induction (GCFI3070BF) model, and we put the range through a series of cooking challenges to test the oven’s capabilities, concluding with a much-anticipated pizza cookoff.
We began our tests with several batches of chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, and frozen Marie Callender’s pies (don’t judge, we had limited time!). The oven performed as expected, delivering great results without any need for recipe adjustment beyond normal high-altitude tweaks. Our previous oven often left a gooey spot at the top of our banana bread, but the Frigidaire range produced an evenly cooked loaf in the same parameters we’ve used for years.

We also cooked a couple of loaves of French bread, with the proofing mode helping immensely. We ended up with crisp crust and soft interiors, and our testers made short work of them. Our tests for stovetop performance also proved successful with the induction elements heating quickly and evenly. Omelets turned out perfectly once we discovered the best heat setting, and stovetop messes were wiped up easily without scratching as well.
We did have some frustration with the touchscreen controls as we cooked, though, as it would respond to the slightest belly or other bodily bump. This also happened frequently as we accessed our above-range microwave. But when we intended to use the controls, we found the menu easy to read and navigate, and the options were easy to choose from and set. We were also glad to see a digital option to lock the touchscreen and oven door to keep young ones from accidentally turning on the range or opening the oven.
It’s Pizza Time!

Baking Neopolitan-style pizza is always a challenge, as our other pizza oven reviews have shown, and there is a learning curve–for both the technique and recipes–that can take some time to perfect. With that in mind, our testers tried out store-bought and homemade dough for the crusts with a variety of toppings and sauces. Frigidaire says the stone-baked pizza mode is not suitable for frozen pizzas, so be aware you’ll need to use the regular bake mode for those.

The heat shield and pizza stone fit on a regular rack placed in slot seven, which is very close to the heating element. This makes it possible to reheat the stone quicker between pizzas and is key to the Neopolitan-style cooking method. This narrower space can prove a problem if you pile on the toppings, so we recommend you keep your toppings a bit flatter to keep them from potentially touching the heating element.

Some of our pizzas–particularly the ones using store-bought dough–bubbled up and burned when they reached the element, but we learned from that, and poking the dough with a fork before adding sauce reduced that issue immensely. Another tip is not to stretch your dough too thin, as it can cause the crust to tear and leave a portion behind to burn when using the peel.

Overall, we enjoyed our pizza-making experience with the Frigidaire 30″ Front Control Range with Stone-Baked Pizza. It delivered on the promise of Neopolitan-style pizza in two minutes or less once it reached temperature, and we didn’t have to turn the pizzas halfway through like we did with countertop units we’ve tested. We can see pizza aficionados who prioritize space-saving appliances enjoying this Frigidaire line of specialty ranges.
Verdict
The Frigidaire 30″ Front Control Range with Stone-Baked Pizza introduces a novel capability to mainstream kitchen appliances: genuine high-heat pizza baking integrated into a standard range. With its 750 °F pizza mode, bundled accessories, and a wide set of specialty cooking functions, it positions itself as both a workhorse range and a specialized pizza tool. For households that prioritize authentic pizza and want a single appliance rather than multiple devices, this innovative Frigidaire range provides an unprecedented option, and we wholeheartedly recommend it.
By bridging the gap between conventional ranges and specialized cooking equipment, Frigidaire is signaling the direction appliance innovation may take in the coming years. The inclusion of a 750 °F pizza mode in a widely available model suggests that manufacturers are increasingly willing to integrate luxury-level features into everyday products. If the approach resonates with consumers, it may open the door for other advanced functions to become standard in the mid-market category.
