Holmdel, N.J. — Vonage announced a new calling service today that will let consumers dial Vonage numbers from non-Vonage lines for the cost of a local call.
The “V-Access” service gives users an access number to make calls to any Vonage telephone number or an 800 number without long-distance or international fees. The feature will be available to anyone — subscribers and non-subscribers alike — in the United States, Canada, France, Italy, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Consumers can obtain access numbers online, which they then dial before dialing a Vonage phone number or an 800 number.
