Vienna, Va. — VoIP provider SunRocket announced a new calling plan to entice wary consumers to add a second line to their homes.
The Limited Edition plan features 200 minutes of global calling along with free in-network calls, caller ID, call waiting, E-911, and three-way calling for $9.95 per month. Additional minutes cost $.03
Consumers can add an extra phone number and voice mail to the service for an extra $3 per month.
The company positioned the new plan as a means of appealing to consumers hesitant to dip their toe into VoIP’s water.
A $39.95 fee for equipment is charged with the plan unless equipment has already been purchased by the consumer at a retailer. SunRocket markets its services directly and offers Uniden’s VoIP-enabled 5.8GHz digital cordless phone on its Web-site.
