Spectra Merchandising Expands Polaroid Digital Camera Lineup

Spectra Merchandising expanded its lineup of Polaroid-branded digital cameras with the introduction of three new models.

The first model, the iON 230, is a member of the company’s iON family of small form-factor cameras and docks that double as Web-cams. The iON 230 is a 2-megapixel model, weighing in at four ounces (with the battery) and featuring 16MB of internal memory, a 2x digital zoom, SD expansion slot, and flash with red-eye reduction.

The iON comes bundled with a USB dock that also serves as a battery charger and USB hub with three slave USB ports. It also ships with iON PhotoBase media management software designed for transferring images to the computer and organizing them once on the hard drive.

The camera is shipping now for a suggested retail price of $249.99.

Stepping up to a larger form factor, the new seven-ounce PDC 2070 features 2.1-megapixel resolution with a 3x digital zoom, 8MB of internal memory and a SmartMedia slot for expansion memory. It is capable of recording audio clips as well as serving as a Web-cam when connected to a PC.

The PDC 2070 is scheduled to ship in the fourth quarter for $169.99.

And Spectra is now shipping the 3-megapixel PDC 3350 for a suggested retail price of $399. The PDC 3350 features a 3x optical zoom with a Macro focus down to four inches, 16MB of internal memory with a slot for SD cards, and a TV-out.
