In the ever-growing category of technology products we’re all thankful that didn’t exist when we were young, there is the BACtrack Mobile Breathalyzer.
It connects to an iOS or Android smartphone or tablet wirelessly via Bluetooth and quickly and estimates a user’s blood alcohol content (BAC) using police-grade Xtend Fuel Cell sensor technology. The free BACtrack app can save and track results over time, estimate when a user’s BAC will return to 0 percent, and share the results with others if desired. Users can add photos, notes and save drink logs. Results can be shared privately via text message or publicly on a social network.
It comes with three reusable, washable mouthpieces.
The BACtrack has a small footprint of 1.75 by 2.75 by 0.63 inches and weighs less than 2 ounces. It recharges via an included MicroUSB cable.
It retails for $119.99.
