The Best Smartphone Accessories For Spring 2024

Upgrade your smartphone

What’s the state of the mobile accessories landscape as we stand in spring 2024? Apple’s iPhone has switched to USB-C, finally making wired charging standardized. Meanwhile, wireless charging continues to gain purchase, while accessories manufacturers are developing creative ways to augment today’s smartphones.

Here are some of the smartphone accessories that stand out:

Belkin Auto Tracking Stand Pro, featuring DockKit

Announced at CES in January, Belkin’s product is geared towards content creators for their videos and “immersive” video calls. The product works with Apple’s DockKit framework, and the built-in camera, capable of panning 360 degrees and tilting 90 degrees, works with a built-in iOS app.

The product retails for $179.99. www.belkin.com

Clicks Creator Keyboard (from Clicks Technology)

Clicks for iPhone attaches a keyboard to the iPhone for customers who love the iPhone but miss the physical keyboard of their old BlackBerry or other smartphone from the aughts. Billed as the “first creator keyboard for the iPhone,” the product frees up screen space typically taken up by the keyboard.

Demand is so high that the product is sold out, but it can be reserved for $139 (iPhone 14 Pro and 15 Pro) and $159 (iPhone 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max.) https://www.clicks.tech/

The Rabbit R1

This product is pitched as less of a smartphone accessory than something that replaces certain functions of those devices. It’s a small gadget, described as a “consumer AI device,” that learns quickly what the user wants from their apps.

The product sells for $199. www.rabbit.tech/

Magmo Pro Call Recorder

The iPhone has long lacked an easy, friction-free way to record phone calls. Enter The Magmo Pro, an accessory that attaches to the back of the iPhone via MagSafe while connecting with the associated Magmo app. It’s available in three colors- Starlight, Space Black and Navy.

The product retails for $129. https://www.magmoglobal.com/magmo-pro

AAWireless 2 – Wireless Android Auto Adapter

At CES, AAWireless announced the sequel to its original product from 2020, an Android Auto adapter for the car. The AAWireless 2, which will arrive later this year, has added CarPlay support, a sleek new design — including a physical button — and other features.

AA Wireless offers access to a preorder list, but no price has been listed as of the time of writing. https://aawireless.io/
