City of Industry, Calif. — Embracing the showroom trend, e-tailer Newegg will set up its fist pop-up store Aug. 16-18 in The Oaks shopping center in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
The pop-up will feature more than 70 products — including tablets, Ultrabooks, digital cameras and hard drives — all of which can be shipped to consumers via free next-day shipping. The event will be sponsored by Intel, Sony, Samsung and Western Digital, according to http://www.newegg.com/popupstore2013.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. PDT on Aug. 16-17 and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Aug. 18.
Newegg will also offer limited-time in-store deals and promotions for all customers who attend the event, it said. The first 100 customers to come by will receive a free gift.
