NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. —
The Mobile Electronics Retailers
Association (MERA) elected South
Florida retailer Mike Dixon as chairperson
of its newly formed education
committee.

MERA also selected Kris Bulla and
Paul Pirro as co-chairs. The new education
committee includes 20 retailers,
expeditors, rep firms, distributors
and manufacturers, MERA said.

The committee’s tasks include development
of education programs for
October’s KnowledgeFest in Dallas
as well as the launch of the association’s
first online dealer-education
programs and educational webinars,
slated to launch soon, executive director
Chris Cook told TWICE. The
committee also plans MERA’s regional
educational events.

Dixon operates retail store Audio
Logic. Bulla works for InstallerNet
and is chairperson of the Consumer
Electronics Association’s MECP
(Mobile Electronics Certified Professional)
certification-program committee.
Pirro is MERA’s member services
manager.
