Rochester, N.Y. — In the spirit of “if the mountain won’t come to Muhammad” Kodak will take to the road with its ScanVan to digitize consumers photo prints.
The ScanVan will tour will take place within California only where Kodak will scan 200 photos in sizes from 2-inch by 2-inch to 8 by 10-inch for $24.99. Additional prints over the 200 limit will cost 10 cents a scan.
The photos are uploaded to the company’s EasyShare Gallery Web site. Consumers will have their prints returned to them and the process takes “minutes” according to Kodak.
A schedule of the ScanVan’s stops is available on Kodak’s Web site, and the session is by appointment only.
