Kenwood Incentive Program Gains

Long Beach, Calif.
– Retail salespeople and installers have qualified for more prizes than they
did last year at this time under Kenwood’s X-Rewards retail sales-incentive
program, Kenwood said.

 “We are about halfway through our program this
year, and prize redemptions are ahead of last year,” said marketing development
manager Tony Mercado.

For each current
eXcelon-series 12-volt product sold or installed between June 1 and Aug. 31, salespeople
and installers earn points redeemable for eXcelon products, flat-panel
televisions, iPods, Weber gas grills, Hewlett-Packard notebook computers,
Samsung digital camcorders, apparel and other products. Kenwood created a
website to help participants enter information on products sold and installed
as well as monitor point totals and order prizes.

“The program has
evolved over the years from a simple offering of eXcelon branded items such as
T-shirts and keychains,” Mercado said.

Because the
program rewards the salesperson for the sale and the installer for the install,
a product does not need to be installed in order for a salesperson to get a
reward, Mercado noted. But “having installers participate alongside salespeople
creates a storewide team atmosphere in most cases where everyone works together
to earn points,” he said.
