Display Development To Showcase New Christie Line

DENVER — Video projector resource Display Development will use CEDIA Expo 2013 to reveal its partnership with Christie Digital Systems USA on a series of custom-engineered video display systems, including models with Ultra HD support.

Display Development’s full line will be on display at CEDIA booth 3812.

The new Christie custom flat panel and projector lines will be designed specifically for the residential custom market, the companies said.

Among the CEDIA offerings will be three advanced flat-panel screen sizes including the 55-inch HDP 55 series, available in three varieties: outdoor ($16,995 suggested retail); high contrast ($14,995) and standard ($12,995); the 46-inch HDP 46 (price to be announced) and the 84-inch Ultra HD UHDP 84, which will ship in the fourth quarter at a price to be announced.

Reference series models include the Reference One 4K System (shipping now at a $280,000 to $400,000 price range depending on options), including a 4K Digital Control Interface (DCI), a native 1.89:1 aspect ratio, high-frame rate, 4K 3D from Singe projector, integrated 3D option, a VP-500 scaling system and a Xenon lamp.

The Reference Two 2K System (available now for $250,000 to $300,000 depending on package options) includes a 2K DCI System and 4K upgradeability.

Digital Film series systems include: the Digital Film 10 ($175,000) system with 4K DCI and the Digital Film 20 system ($145,000) with 2K DCI. Both are upgradeable to 4K have an integrated 3D option, VP-500 scaling system and a Xenon lamp. Brightness output for both models is 22,000 lumens.

The Digital Film 30 System ($110,000) is compact projector with a 2K DCI, a 1.89:1 aspect ratio, Dolby 3D option and 12,000 Lumens of brightness output.

The Digital Film 40 ($89,000) and 50 ($80,000) Systems are both compact 2K DCIs with a 1.89.1 aspect ratio.

The Digital Film 40 has Dolby 3D option, with 10,000 Lumens of brightness and Vari-Scope, the DF 50 has 9,000 Lumens of brightness output.

New HD Series Projection System models include the HD-10, 20 and 30, models with three-chip DLP DMD imagers, automated color filters, two UHP lamps, Vari-Scope lenses, Vari-Scope, a VP-300 processor and 3D upgrade availability.

The HD-50 ($24,995) DLP model offers a single Full HD 1080p DMD chip, Hi-Fi color wheel option, two UHP lamps, compact and quiet operation, and a VP-300 processor. It outputs 7,000 Lumens of brightness.

The HD-60 ($18,995) is another single-chip 1080p DLP model with two UHP lamps, compact cabinet, quiet operation, .7 to 6x throw range, and 6,000 Lumens of brightness.

Model HD-70 ($10,995) is a single-chip 1080P DLP projector with a UHP lamp, compact styling, .7 to 6x throw range and 5,000 lumens of brightness.
