The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), owner and producer of International CES, revealed two more keynoters, and it announced winners of a contest and “university” classes for the show, which will be held in Las Vegas Jan. 10-13.
Robert Kyncl, global content partnerships VP at You- Tube, will deliver the Entertainment Matters keynote address at CES. In his keynote, Kyncl will discuss the tremendous opportunity for the web as a distribution vehicle, and how the entertainment ecosystem will evolve over time. The keynote is slated for 10 a.m. PT on Thursday, Jan. 12, in the Las Vegas Hilton Theater.
Entertainment Matters at CES is sponsored by Variety and Ericsson, with the Screen Actors Guild as an associate sponsor. Back for a second year, EntertainmentMattersatCES is designed by and for Hollywood’s film, television and digital communities and will feature exhibits, events and conference programs for entertainment professionals interested in the convergence of content and technology.
Gary Strumolo, global manager of health, wellness, interiors and infotainment for Ford research and innovation of Ford Motor Company, will be the Day One Luncheon Keynote on Jan. 11 at 12:25 p.m. for the Digital Health Summit at CES.
The “Doctor in Your Car” keynote by Strumolo will shed discuss several advanced research projects that Ford is working on with established and startup health care service providers. Strumolo will also announce a new health care research project involving another unexpected, yet well-known technology partner, CEA said.
At the 2012 CES, Ford will be showcasing (North Hall, Grand Lobby, 2230) its in-car health and wellness services, as well as Sync’s connected services and applications.

And CEA will host its “Developer University” event on January 12, which will provide the more than 12,000 applications developers attending CES one place to go for all the latest updates on developer programs, software developer kits, tools and application programming interfaces (API) from leading companies, CEA said.
More than a dozen companies, including AT&T, Google, Intel, LG Electronics, Netgear, Qualcomm, Sony Ericsson and TiVo, will present in back-to-back 30-minute sessions encompassing TV apps, device APIs, third-party APIs, web apps, desktop apps, mobile apps and more.
The program is geared toward third-party developers; system integrators; entrepreneurs; start-ups; software, game and communication developers and companies; content producers, publishers, distributors and aggregators; media companies; advertising agencies; students and others looking to broaden their understanding and skills to develop apps.
