Boss Ships eBand Player For Guitarists

Los Angeles – Boss announced it is now shipping a portable audio
player designed for guitarists.

The eBand
audio player with guitar effects combines playback of full songs, backing
tracks, or rhythm loops with Boss guitar effects and a built-in stereo speaker
system. Boss said the device is geared toward guitarists who want play along
with any of their own collection of music, or create new songs while playing
with audio tracks.

Music is
loaded with direct playback from any standard USB memory stick or SDHC memory
card up to 32GB, and it has the ability to import songs from any audio CD using
the included utility software, Boss said. Users are able to change the pitch
and tempo independently, and the Center Cancel function can remove guitar or
vocal parts.

Three
hundred backing tracks and rhythm loops are included, along with more than 100 present
guitar sounds. Other functions include EZ Tone, which provides “an intuitive,
easy-to-use approach to sound creation based on graphic icons,” and tuner and
metronome functions.

The eBand also
lets users create and save audio files. Any recording must be saved to an SD
card, and the device comes with a 1GB card.

Suggested retail
will be $557.50, with a street price of $399, according to a Boss spokeswoman.
