AudioXperts Expands Speaker Selection

Denver – Luxury-audio brand AudioXperts is expanding its selection at the CEDIA Expo with a designer-inspired on-wall speaker and its third low-profile TV-speaker base that connects to TVs to enhance TV sound.

The company recently began shipping the first speakers in its Korners series of lifestyle-oriented passive speakers. Besides its current two 4TV TV-speaker bases, the company also offers a portable Bluetooth speaker and two tabletop EVA (EnVironmental Audio) Music Systems, which feature Bluetooth and Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad USB ports.

The latest TV-speaker base, also part of the 4TV series, is the $999-suggested AC121, which joins the larger 4TV 2112 at $1,999 and the 4TV5122 at $3,999. The series is positioned as delivering component-audio quality for TV and music in a form designed to “eliminate confusion, chaos and clutter,” company president and founder Eli Harary has said.

The new model is 20 percent smaller than the 2112, measures 2.25 by 32 by 15 inches, and features a swiveling, smoked-glass-and-aluminum enclosure like its counterparts. The 2.1-channel music and surround sound system accommodates most flat-panel TVs up to 60 pounds and features built-in subwoofer. Video source switching is left to the TV.

The 4TV AC121 also features Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, Bluetooth, digital optical inputs, analog inputs, and subwoofer out. A rear-mounted IR signal input is also available. Other features include backlit, top-mount touch-sensitive control panel and remote learning.

Six purpose-built drivers include two with patent-pending H.A.R.T. (High Aspect Ratio Transducer) design to provide for a large voice coil for high power handling in a chassis that’s only 2.25-inches-tall, the company said. The driver lineup also includes two 0.75-inch tweeters and two 4.5-inch SSHO low-profile woofers.

The system offers multiple listening modes and EQ settings for movies and music, with movie mode delivering surround sound. An enhanced dialog mode is also available for consumers with hearing loss. The AC121 is the first 4TV model to offer separate bass and treble controls.

In on-wall speakers, the company is unveiling VIEWS (Visually IntEgrated Wall Speaker). The VIEWS V2 speaker eschews a visually obtrusive boxy design with one that complement a room’s décor in residential or commercial applications, the company said.

The V24 is a small speaker with three stretch-fabric cloth grilles that wrap around a curved cabinet. Each two-way speaker includes a standard white grille plus black and tan grilles in the box.

The driver complement consists of a 0.75-inch wide-bandwidth tweeter and 4.5-inch woofer, each of which can be adjusted to direct sound toward the listening position without changing the speaker’s exterior appearance. A proprietary gear mechanism adjusts the tweeter position up to 30 degrees and the woofer position up to 10 degrees.

Harary called the V24 “an alternative to mounting those often ugly boxes, often pointed in a different direction.”

An optional VT1 transformer plugs directly into the V24 cabinet to make it compatible with 70- and 100-volt distributed-audio systems used in commercial applications.
