Boston - AudioXperts has begun shipping the first three models in its Korners series of slim wedge-shaped speakers that can be positioned unobtrusively in corners.
A fourth model is planned later this year by the luxury audio brand launched in mid-2012 by industry veteran Eli Harary.
The series includes a 3-inch-wide, 68-inch-tall vertical speaker that fits in the corners of a room to deliver left, right and surround channels with its tweeter positioned at the right height for improved stereo imaging, the company said.
The speaker, at a suggested $999 each, can also be placed anywhere against a wall. It mounts directly to walls and corners or on floor stands.
A 3-inch-tall, 55-inch-wide center channel, also at $999 each, is designed for horizontal placement above or below a TV on a wall or on a credenza. It also doubles as a vertical left-right and surround speaker that can be mounted where the floor meets a wall, the wall meets the ceiling, or vertically in a corner, company literature states.
Both speakers feature extruded-aluminum cabinets in black or paintable white and a driver complement consisting of one 1-inch tweeter, six 2-inch woofers, and eight 50mm passive radiators. The L-R speaker delivers 90Hz-25kHz frequency response, and the center channel delivers 120Hz-25kHz frequency response.
A wireless-ready 300-watt subwoofer at $1,249 also features a slim, wedge-shaped design for vertical placement in a corner or against a wall and for horizontal placement on the floor against a wall. It packs six 4.5-inch drivers in a cabinet that measures 36 inches by 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches. It comes with floor stand.
An optional Korners Sub Connector is available to join two subs in a dual-sub configuration. An optional wireless transmitter for the sub is also available.
Korners models come with a five-year parts and labor warranty and two-year over-the-counter exchange policy.
AudioXperts will display these and other products at the CEDIA Expo.
The company also offers two 4TV under-TV audio consoles (TV-speaker bases), two tabletop EVA (EnVironmental Audio) Music Systems with Bluetooth and Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad USB ports, and a portable Bluetooth speaker.
