Vice’s Ciel Hunter Joins NewBay Media’s Virtual Reality 20/20 Summit

Ciel Hunter, head of content for Vice Media, has joined the Virtual Reality 20/20 Summit.

Hunter will take part in The New Publishing Model panel, which will take place at 2:40 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 at the TimesCenter in New York.

Hunter works to develop Vice’s content operations across mobile and digital platforms by overseeing its digital presence, including the company’s video and editorial arms, platforms like Snapchat and Go90, and new and emerging platforms as they arise. She also works to integrate Vice’s existing verticals with the Viceland TV network, streamlining Vice’s digital and linear presence.

Prior to this role, Hunter served as the lead creative director of The Creators Project, Vice and Intel’s arts-and-culture channel. She has also led strategy and creative on key industry partnerships including YouTube; Vice and Live Nation’s joint venture, Live Nation TV; and Apple Music.

Also on the panel are Chris Hercik, senior VP of Creative + Content – The Foundry at Time; Teal Newland, senior VP of marketing and partner management at Conde Nast Entertainment; Stone Roberts, senior VP of global video strategy at Refinery29; and Andy Wright, senior VP and publisher of The New York Times Magazine. It will be moderated by Mark Robichaux, editorial director of Broadcasting & Cable, Multichannel News and NextTV.
