JC Murphy Appointed to CTA Smart Home Division Board of Directors

Savant has announced that the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), owner and producer of CES, has named JC Murphy, chief commercial officer at Savant Systems, to its Smart Home Division Board of Directors.

CTA’s Smart Home Division is dedicated to advancing the smart home industry by driving awareness, demand, and innovation. Representing the full ecosystem, including manufacturers, integrators, distributors, and startups, the division works to shape the future of home control, entertainment, and networking solutions. Through collaboration and advocacy, the division supports industry growth and enhances consumer adoption of smart home technologies.

In his role at Savant, Murphy drives revenue growth, market share, and commercial strategy for traditional lighting, smart home, and smart energy in both the professionally installed and the do-it-yourself (DIY) channels. Savant’s DIY GE-branded lighting and smart home products are sold at 52,000 brick-and-mortar retail locations and online in North America through GE Lighting, a Savant company. Savant and GE-branded professional smart home and energy products are sold globally through an extensive dealer network of authorized integrators.
