Haier Hires Former Belkin, Sharp Execs For Key Roles

Haier America has expanded its senior management ranks with the additions of Deanna Johnston as chief information officer and Chris Hogan as senior sales manager.

Johnston comes to Haier from Belkin International, where she held the same post. In her new position, reporting to COO Kevin Dexter, she “will play a key role on our executive team managing our overall operational excellence and developing the architecture for our future technology vision for the company,” Dexter said.

Specifically, Johnston will “refresh and lead the implementation of Haier America’s operational excellence strategy as well as define the organization’s business process architecture, translate the process architecture into IT architecture and develop an IT systems improvement roadmap to close process and system gaps,” Haier announced.

Hogan joins Haier from Sharp Electronics, where he served as appliance VP and led all sales activities for the $120 million health and environmental solutions group. Before that he held senior-level sales roles with LG Electronics USA and Samsung Electronics America.

He reports to sales and marketing senior VP Paul Riley, who said Hogan’s role “will be vital in managing our current relationships with key distribution partners and expanding those efforts over the next several years.”
