Milpitas, Calif. — Flash memory manufacturer SanDisk reported that revenue for the third quarter grew 27 percent on a year-over-year basis to $751 million.
The company posted a net income of $103 million for the third quarter, down four percent from a year ago, thanks to a 25 percent drop in the price-per-megabyte versus the second quarter and a 60 percent drop versus the year-ago period. The company expects a 200 percent gain in megabytes sold for 2006 versus last year.
