Bose Adds HDMI Outputs To More Systems

Framingham, Mass. — Bose expanded HDMI outputs and 1080p-up-scaling capability to two more home theater systems, the DVD-equipped 3•2•1 GS and 3•2•1GSX Series III systems at $999 and $1,499.

These virtual surround-sound systems, which deliver multichannel sound from two satellite speakers and a bass module, replace their predecessors, which lacked HDMI and up-scaling capability. Other Bose systems with HDMI and 1080p up-scaling are the Lifestyle V20 and V30 systems and Lifestyle 48, 38 and 35 home entertainment systems, a spokeswoman said. “The only two systems that do not offer [HDMI] out of the box are the Lifestyle 18 and 28 home entertainment systems,” she said, but customers can add the VS-2 video enhancer accessory to make an HDMI connection to an HDTV.

The new products are available in Bose stores, select dealers and through Bose’s Web site and toll-free number.
