New York – Dell today announced its plan to enter the smartphone
market in China and Brazil.
While the company did not directly state it would expand its
presence into the U.S. market, a spokesman did say today’s move was part of
Dell’s global strategy for its smartphone products.
Dell is partnering with carriers China Mobile and Brazil’s Claro
for its upcoming venture. The initial products sold through the carriers will a
be a three-SKU line of Mini 3 smartphones.
Pricing and an exact launch date were not available.
