Glenview, Ill. — Abt Electronics has brought in Hammacher Schlemmer veteran Marc Spiwak to help revitalize its corporate sales operation.
Spiwak will also honcho the retailer’s promotional sales, trade show, and partnership functions.
“Customer satisfaction has always been a priority for us, and we always aim to bring passionate team members with out-of-the-box thinking to continue achieving our goals,” said Abt co-president Mike Abt.
“I met Marc nine years ago at a trade show and have followed his career ever since. Thanks to his successful track record, when we decided to develop our corporate sales department, I knew we had to look no further than Marc,” Abt noted.
Spiwak began his career as a hotshot sales rep for Adams Apple Distributing, and later brought his sales acumen over to Hammacher Schlemmer where he helped drive sharp revenue gains.
“I am very excited to become a part of the incredible team at Abt,” Spiwak said. “My goal is to continue building on Abt’s continuous success by leveraging the retailer’s impressive product selection and my passion for the industry.”
Operating out of a single mammoth showroom and warehouse complex outside Chicago, Abt is the industry’s 31st largest CE and appliance dealer with combined CE/majap sales of nearly half a billion dollars in 2014, according to TWICE’s Top 100 CE/Major Appliance Retailers Report.
