Beats unveiled its first Bluetooth speaker since being acquired by Apple.
The $229 Beats Pill+ features include on-device controls, a 12-hour battery life, fuel gauge and the ability to act as a power supply. It features a USB port to charge portable devices (and will come with its own Lightning cable).
An accompanying app allows multi-user pairing, adding a second speaker for left/right stereo play, and the ability to toggle between different play modes.
It will be available next month in black or white.
Beats said it has shipped more than a million Beats Pills worldwide since launching in 2012. That speaker is priced at $199. The Beats XL was recalled earlier this year.
