Gentex’s Latest Innovations: Place & eSight

Get the full details on these exciting new products and Gentex’s tech-sharing plans with Klipsch. Watch the Executive Q&A now!

Gentex, a 50-year-old technology company known for automotive products like auto-dimming mirrors and HomeLink, is actively expanding into new markets with two significant brands: Place and eSight.

The Place system revolutionizes home safety by moving beyond traditional smoke and CO detection. It offers a smart, hardwired, and room-specific solution for residential fire protection and home automation. Its four units include an Any Space base unit, plus specialized detectors for the Nursery, Kitchen, and Garage.

On the medical front, the eSight Go is a digital assistive wearable device that helps individuals with low vision or central vision loss (e.g., macular degeneration) see more clearly. The wearable device uses a camera and high-definition OLED screens to enhance a user’s central vision, with a personalized coach assigned to every wearer. Both product lines are designed and built in Zeeland, Michigan.

To get the full details on Gentex’s future plans, including technology sharing with the recently acquired Klipsch audio company and an outlook on Matter integration, be sure to watch the complete interview with Craig Piersma, VP, Marketing and Corporate Communications at Gentex.
