hhgregg Touting TVs And Appliances For Black Friday

Multiregional retailer hhgregg is using equal parts TV and major appliances for its Thanksgiving and Black Friday sales events.

Turkey Day promotions will run from 4 p.m. to midnight in stores, where top TV doorbusters will include:

*a 43-inch LG 4K smart TV for $398;

*a 55-inch Seiki 1080p LED smart TV for $298;

*a 65-nch Seiki 4K/Ultra HD TV for $598; and

*a 65-inch Samsung curved 4K/Ultra HD smart TV for $1,498.

On the appliance side, Thanksgiving offers will include:

*an Amana 3.5-cubic-foot top-load washer and 6.5-cubic-foot electric dryer laundry pair for $500;

*an LG 4.1-cubic-foot HE top-load washer and 7.3-cubic-foot electric dryer laundry pair for $800;

*a Whirlpool 25-cubic-foot stainless-steel side-by-side fridge for $899; and

*a Whirlpool four-piece stainless-steel kitchen package including French door fridge, OTR microwave, gas or electric range and dishwasher for $1,800 (a $1,200 savings).

The mix of majap and CE deals will continue on Black Friday, from 7 a.m. through 10 p.m. in stores, with such top holiday deals as:

*a 48-inch Haier 1080p LED TV for $288;

*a 55-inch Sharp 1080p Aquos LED smart TV for $488;

*a Maytag 3.6-cubic-foot top-load washer and 7-cubic-foot electric dryer laundry pair for $800;

*a Whirlpool 25-cubic-foot stainless steel French door fridge for $1,000 (a savings of $700);

*a 15.6-inch Dell laptop for $250;

*Bluetooth wireless speakers for $5 a pair; and

*the Chromecast streaming media player for $30.

To sweeten the pot, hhgregg is also offering free online shipping and 36-month financing on big-ticket purchases, noted CEO Dennis May. The holiday efforts “will hopefully put a little money back into our customers’ pockets this holiday season,” he said — as well as company coffers, as the retailer continues to struggle with steep losses and lower sales.
