DPL Intros ‘Seal of Approval'

Ormond Beach, Fla. - DPL
Laboratories said it's expanding its Digital Performance Level HDMI cable
testing and certification program.

Products that are
approved under the DPL Program will now feature a "Seal of Approval" insignia
on their packaging. The program is said to conduct brand-blind testing in an
independent laboratory.

DPL, which also
announced the launch of a new Web site (, bolstered the
announcement with the news that PPC, the cable and connector manufacturer of
the Perfect Path line, will join the company's Seal of Approval program as a
participating member.

 "Partnering with DPL Labs is a great match for
PPC," said Eric Bodley, VP and general manager, consumer products for PPC, in a
statement. "With DPL's commitment to helping bring superior HDMI solutions to
the market, as well as educating dealers and installers about advanced
technologies and techniques, DPL couldn't be more perfectly aligned with core
principles enthusiastically embraced by the whole team at PPC."
