Clear Sounds Debuts Phone Line For Hearing Impaired

1/08/2007 02:00:00 AM Eastern

Clear Sounds Communications will debut a special series of home phones for those who have slightly impaired hearing. The company can be found at the Sands during International CES, booth 71860.

The CST25 is the Impressions sound-enhanced speakerphone with caller ID that features extra large caller ID display and sound-enhanced amplification. It will ship in January.

The TCI30 Impressions sound-enhanced talking caller ID speakerphone enables the user to know who is calling without having to move quickly to the phone, as well as hear every word with sound-enhanced volume and frequency control. The design — easy-to-read buttons and caller ID screen — make it the ideal phone for the massive boomer/seniors market, the company said.

ClearSounds said it offers a unique "talking" feature that allows users to "hear" what numbers they've pressed, guaranteeing they dial the correct number. Shipments are set for April.

And a prototype of the ClearSounds corded/cordless phone will be at CES for home and office use. The unit features the company's Ultra Clear Sound Shaping technology, digital sound clarity, caller ID, speakerphone and award-winning design in a combination corded/cordless phone system. This system ensures every call is heard clearly with the adjustable amplification and tone, convenient to answer with the cordless handset, and users never go without phone service due to power outages with the corded master base station, the firm said. Shipments are set for June.

Pricing on all three units should be available during CES.
