UPDATED! Tustin, Calif. – BrandSource has doubled the number of Expert Warehouse distribution centers (DCs) that carry major appliances to six over the past year.
The Expert Warehouse program allows members of the national buying and marketing group to pull inventory from the regional facilities in mixed truckloads.
The expansion will provide two-day deliveries of white goods to dealers in nearly 75 percent of the country, noted Expert Warehouse president David Meekings, who described the program as “a reliable and efficient fulfillment distribution solution.”
Expert Warehouse DCs carrying appliance are located in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Nevada, New Jersey and Texas, BrandSource said.
For Famous Tate Appliance and Bedding Center, a TWICE Top 100 Appliance Retailer, the majap expansion “has been a huge factor in helping us grow our LG business,” said general manager Claude Ward.
Member Dan DeRouin of Pioneer TV and Appliance said Expert Warehouse allows him to “combine all of our appliance brands onto one truck, with weekly delivery.”
White-goods brands that are stocked and distributed by Expert Warehouse include LG and its Studio line; Samsung and its Chef Series; GE and its Hotpoint and Café lines; and Electrolux and its Frigidaire and Gallery lines.
Whirlpool products are currently available through the program’s Northeast locations only.
On the CE side, the Expert Warehouse assortment includes TVs by Samsung, LG, Toshiba and Sharp, and speakers and receivers from more than 15 audio brands including Bose, Polk and Denon.
Meekings added that Expert Warehouse is stocking up for Black Friday and the holiday season in anticipation of the fourth-quarter rush.
