Consumers Choose
Dishwashers For Moms
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. – Fifty percent
of Americans think moms would prefer a new dishwasher
over other kitchen appliances, according
to a recent national survey. The poll, fielded by Impulse
Research on behalf of Bosch Home Appliance,
found that 50 percent of Americans think dishwashers
would be moms’ kitchen appliance of choice, in
order to make their lives easier.
After dishwashers, 23 percent said their mothers
would prefer a new stove or oven, followed by 19 percent
who think moms would like a new refrigerator.
Bosch said the findings jibe with other research
showing that one third of mothers cite the dishwasher
as the kitchen appliance they love most.
“Many mothers will probably tell you that one of
their biggest wants is simply having more time,” said
Stephanie Hutaff, Bosch’s senior product manager
of dishwashers. “So, we wanted to find out which
household appliances help make moms’ lives easier
and clearly the dishwasher is the winner.”
The survey was conducted online in April with a
random sample of 1,087 men and women ages 25
and up.
