Samsung Brings EMC’s Electronic Content Management To Printers

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. & HOPKINTON, Mass.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Samsung Electronics America, Inc. today announced it has partnered with EMC®Information Intelligence Group, to bring electronic content management capabilities, to its lineup of multifunction printers. Designed to increase workplace efficiency, Samsung has added compatibility with EMC®Captiva® ISIS Drivers to its SCX-5935FN, SCX-5835FN and M4580FX multifunction printers. Customers now have the option of secure, wireless transfer of documents without the need to download additional software or drivers.

 EMC Captiva ISIS and Captiva Cloud Capture technologies help create a business advantage by converting paper, faxes, and other content into application-ready information, resulting in improved interoperability and efficiency. EMC Captiva uses the ISIS (Image and Scanner Interface Specification) industry standard together with EMC PixTools desktop capture software development toolkits (SDK) and EMC Cloud Capture Toolkit browser based capture software to maximize performance and provide consistent and reliable functionality for scanners and imaging applications.
