Integration Designer(R) APEX
The backbone of RTI’s control and automation solutions is the company’s award-winning Integration Designer(R) platform. At ISE 2016, RTI will demonstrate how the new Integration Designer APEX software dramatically speeds up the installation process while maintaining the ease of comprehensive customization that RTI is known for. APEX features a number of enhanced capabilities to make system design more efficient than ever, including automatic generation of the graphical user interface and programming, a new IR library, multi-room programming, advanced graphic resizing, and more.
Intercom Capability
Now available as a free firmware update, RTI’s new intercom capability enables audio communication between RTI user interfaces and third-party devices via the standard SIP protocol. Perfect for front doors, gates, delivery docks, and intra-office settings, the intercom function adds convenience and security to any commercial or residential automation system, allowing users to check entrance points without opening the door. Features include auto answer, device-to-device calling, and “push-to-talk” mode. A future update will enable video calling. RTI interfaces that support the new intercom functionality include the T3x handheld remote, CX7 countertop/under-cabinet touchpanel, and the KX7 and KX3 in-wall touchpanels.
WK2 Water-Resistant In-Wall Keypad
The RTI WK2 water-resistant in-wall keypad is the perfect control solution for environments such as bathrooms, kitchens, and outdoor areas. Featuring a sleek, all-glass exterior construction with an integrated solid-state keypad and a monochrome OLED display, the WK2 provides convenient control of distributed audio along with other electronic systems, with the added benefit of two-way feedback. Compatible with RTI’s XP processors, the keypad provides an intuitive control solution for installations where moisture is a factor, or anywhere that requires a combination of unobtrusive modern styling and custom control with feedback.

KX1 In-Wall Audio Distribution Keypad
Offering integrators another alternative for affordable multi-room audio control, the KX1 in-wall keypad takes it to the next level with a 1.2-inch color OLED display with support for two-way control, including song metadata and volume status. Designed to provide a sleek look in any environment, the KX1 features 11 customizable hard buttons for convenient access to control functions and a backlit volume level indicator.

KX3 In-Wall Touchpanel Keypad
Sporting a 3.5-inch color LCD display and five customizable hard buttons, RTI’s KX3 in-wall touchpanel is a unique hybrid device that combines the capabilities of both a touchscreen controller and a control processor within a single cost-effective unit. This allows the flexible KX3 to be used as an all-in-one, standalone solution for control over electronic systems or integrated as an in-wall touchpanel within a larger RTI control system. Future updates to the KX3 will add even more powerful features, such as the benefits of an advanced control processor — including an astronomical clock and the ability to run two-way drivers — as well as a built-in 2.4-GHz ZigBee(R) antenna for connectivity with RTI wireless remotes. Other advanced capabilities will include sense ports, relay control, built-in video intercom, Wi-Fi(R), and more.

KX10 In-Wall Touchpanel
Designed to provide custom control and feedback, the innovative KX10 in-wall color touchpanel brings comprehensive onscreen management of any entertainment or environmental system to installations. Capable of providing direct control of devices via IR or RS-232, full two-way control is possible when the unit is used as part of a complete RTI control system. Featuring a 10.1-inch widescreen, capacitive touch LCD display, the flexible unit even allows video viewing via an HDBaseT video port and a composite video input for viewing sources such as security cameras. In addition, a built-in camera and microphone enables the convenience of video intercom.
