Acclaimed Whole-Home Distributed Audio System Ups the Ante with High Res Audio
VISTA, Calif. (June 29, 2017)— Today, Denon®, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality home entertainment products, introduces the newest upgrade to its HEOS multi-room sound system, the HEOS Drive with support for High Res audio. The four-zone, eight-channel networked HS2 is now capable of powering high resolution speakers and supporting lossless audio for discerning listeners.
Designed for the custom installer, the Denon HEOS Drive delivers coverage to all four HEOS zones in a single 2U (3.5-inch-tall) chassis. With support for multiple control units from popular manufacturers Control4, Crestron, RTI, URC, and ELAN, the HEOS Drive is customizable within almost any professional-quality home audio environment. Powerful class-D amplification includes rack mount ears, active cooling, reliable Ethernet input and pass-through, in addition to a compact form factor to make the HEOS Drive the perfect choice for a whole-home distributed audio system.
“The HEOS Drive is designed with a laser-focus on arming the custom install market with the tools they need for the modern consumer. Through simple installation using included rack mount ears, integrating USB for easy drive access and High Res audio support across an array of file formats, installer demand for increased flexibility has been met,” said Brendon Stead, senior vice president of product development for Sound United, parent company of Denon. “Additionally, by working directly with several of the industry’s top third party control manufacturers like Control4, Crestron, RTI, and others to develop custom drivers, we’ve made the HEOS Drive an obvious choice for installers looking for the latest in networked multi-room amplifier technology.”
The HEOS Drive is part of the HEOS multi-room sound system that allows users to enjoy their favorite music anywhere and everywhere around the home. By using an existing home network and the HEOS app for iOS, Android™ and Kindle Fire™, users can explore, browse and play music from an existing music library, from online streaming music services and from thousands of Internet radio stations.
