Likeability isn’t necessarily a requirement for success as a CEO (see George Pullman), but it certainly can’t hurt to have your employees behind you.
To find out which chief executives are naughty or nice, Owler, which compiles crowdsourced info on companies and their managers, analyzed over 250,000 CEO reviews from its platform (comprised of employees, competitors and other users) to come up with a Top 100 ranking, based on a likeability scale of 0-100.
The most liked CEO across all industries? Costco’s Craig Jelinek, who, in the tradition of his predecessor Jim Sinegal, regularly visits stores and provides the best wages in mass merchant retail.
