Pro A/V distributor Stampede will host its second Gold Rush scavenger promotion each day of CES 2019 at its booth in South Hall 2 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
According to Stampede president and CEO Kevin Kelly, resellers can participate by scanning a special QR code on the first day of the show at Stampede’s booth, #25708, or by downloading an app in advance. Once at the site, resellers can type in “Stampede Gold Rush” to start their own individual “Gold Rush journey.” The first list of Gold Rush stops was released earlier today.

“The Gold Rush promotion offers resellers the opportunity to embark on an exciting journey that will bring them to sponsoring vendor booths, special events, and more,” Kelly said. “And at every stop on their Gold Rush journey, resellers will learn about new products and programs, strike ‘gold’ through significant discounts and exciting show specials, and earn the chance to win some amazing prizes.”
Participating vendors include Flir, Incase, Incipio, LG, Lumens, NEC, Polaroid, Philips, Sonos, Sound United, and Vidyo, he said.
Once the QR code is scanned or the app is downloaded, resellers receive a list of stops to make each day of the show, with points automatically assigned each time a stop is completed. At this year’s CES, featured stops on the reseller journey will include a stop-by at the Stampede booth for the distributor’s CES 2019 live interview series, “Stampede CES Live.” Participants can watch the interviews from a Lumens camera feed on the first floor of the Stampede booth and then scan the QR code to earn points for the Gold Rush promotion.
New tasks will be added each day of the show. The top five attendees who visit all of the stops and complete all of the Gold Rush scavenger hunt tasks first will win a DJI Spark drone. The winner will be announced at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, in the Stampede booth.
