The audio app brings streaming content and personal music files under one control and management system, and can stream to, and control all, Sonos-, Airplay- and Roon-ready network devices.
“Wireless multiroom is going to another level with new streaming audio standards for true high-res audio,” ProSource president/CEO Dave Workman told TWICE last month, “and with a company like Roon Labs that offers the prospect of a single platform for streaming service.”
Added ProSource member Rob Marcoccia, sales and design manager at World Wide Stereo: “Roon is a great experience for anyone who loves music,” thanks to the deep background it provides on music, albums and musicians. “From a hardware standpoint, I can mix and match what I play my music on and I can access all my music in the kitchen, family room and my office from a single interface.”
Roon recently launched a partner portal site where retailers and integrators can register to become a Roon Labs channel partner, entitling them to complimentary licenses for their business as well as for employees.
“We want to deliver Roon Labs and our hardware partners to the best retailers and integrators across the domestic market,” said Roon sales and marketing VP Steve Silberman. “We see partnering with ProSource as a brilliant step, because it introduces Roon Labs to a talented segment of A/V professionals.”
