Las Vegas – Newegg.com topped off 2015 International CES last week with its annual Thursday night awards program.
The Eggie Awards, now in its 11th year, recognizes noteworthy contributions from the tech e-tailer’s partners and vendors. Thirty-seven companies in total were honored at the event, held at the XS Nightclub at Encore Resort under the theme, “Take Flight with Newegg.”
“2014 was an immensely successful year for Newegg, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the continued support of our most valued partners,” said Soren Mills, chief marketing officer of Newegg North America. “Our executive committee and project management teams are deeply committed to strengthening these key vendor relationships, and we are enthusiastic about our continued collaboration in 2015.”
Awards were given in the categories of logistics, finance, real estate, products and customers. Intel and Segate both walked away with Partner of the Year Awards, while the customer category was copped by Cory Hall, who was named “Geek of the Year” and described as one of the company’s most loyal patrons.
Newegg said it reserves this award for “special customers who not only shop Newegg on a regular basis, but also make valuable contributions to the Newegg community.” Hall has been a vocal member of the Newegg community since 2006, the e-tailer said, and last year penned the e-commerce site’s three-millionth review.
