The ability of a digital camera to fit in one’s shirt pocket, call it “pocket-chic,” is quickly becoming the new benchmark of choice for digital camera makers, leaving the megapixel behind.
The latest to jump onto the pocket-bandwagon, Logitech, which announced that it has stepped into the ultra-small digital camera market with its new credit-card-sized Pocket Digital camera.
The camera ships in May for a list price of $129.95.
The Pocket Digital camera measures .5 inches thick and features 16MB of internal memory, which can hold up to 52 images at the camera’s highest resolution (1.3-megapixels).
The “Autobrite” image processing feature ensures that the camera can effectively capture images containing a mix of bright and dim areas.
