PITTSBURGH —
hhgregg formally
entered the Pittsburg market this
month with the opening of its first four
area stores.
The new 30,000-square-foot
stores “demonstrate hhgregg’s ongoing
commitment to expanding
operations in Pennsylvania,” said
Jeff Pearson, marketing VP for the
Indianapolis-based appliance and
CE chain. Indeed, the company has
targeted western Pennsylvania for
much of this year’s growth, with the
balance of the 35 to 45 new stores
planned for 2011 earmarked for Chicago
and Miami.
The new Steel City locations
brought hhgregg’s store count to
185 in 15 states as it continues its
planned national expansion.
