D&H Discerns New Opportunities In Digital Signage

The distributor is helping dealers tap into the pro A/V channel.

D&H Distributing has launched a new initiative to help dealers, integrators and installers capitalize on untapped opportunities in the pro A/V and digital signage space.

The effort is spearheaded by a newly created team of certified digital signage and collaboration specialists who can guide pro-channel neophytes through commercial solutions including large-format digital signage; collaboration and videoconferencing solutions; video walls; screens; audio solutions; media players; mounts; and accessories.

According to the North American tech and IT distributor, digital signage, pro A/V and collaboration tools have assumed greater significance as businesses have become more distributed, with robust Wi-Fi connecting far-flung branch offices and remote employees accessing the network from home offices and other off-site locales.

In addition, digital signage is gaining momentum as a means for businesses to engage their customer bases, with vibrant, large-footprint screens and variable, rotating electronic content vying for the attention of clients and consumers, D&H said.

“Digital signage and collaboration solutions are exploding in scope,” observed Peter DiMarco, D&H’s VAR sales VP. “Hospitality facilities are using signage and display systems to update families waiting for patients in surgery; sales teams use them to post performance metrics; and executives use them to collaborate with remote colleagues.”

“As this medium becomes more ubiquitous,” DiMarco continued, “the opportunity for integrators, installers and resellers with expertise in these systems will generate notable profitability.”

D&H, through its new team, can help customers configure end-to-end signage, collaboration or videoconferencing systems and manage content for those deployments long term, he noted.

Offered brands beneath the pro A/V umbrella include Acer, Asus, Barco, Casio, Chief, Dell, Espson, Gefen, Intel, Lenovo, LG, Logitech, NEC, Planar, Ricoh, Russound, Samsung, Sennheiser, Tripp Lite and ViewSonic, among others.

Team specialists can be reached by email at [email protected], and customers can also receive training in digital signage and collaboration through the distributor’s Solutions Lab streaming media session on signage and display solutions.
