Three years after entering Alabama, Conn’s is opening a second HomePlus store in the Yellowhammer State.
The 43,441-square-showroom is located along a stretch of Eastern Boulevard in Montgomery that has been enjoying a commercial boom, the company said. It joins the furniture, bedding, appliance and consumer tech chain’s first Alabama store in Huntsville.
“This is an exciting time for Conn’s HomePlus, as we open our second store in Alabama,” said chairman/CEO Norm Miller. “We are committed to being a key player in the growing economy and look forward to connecting with the people of the community.”
The new location will bring Conn’s store count to 125 showrooms across 14 states when it opens next month. The retailer plans to open as many as 15 new HomePlus stores this year, more than double its 2018 expansion.
A grand-opening event is slated for April 13 at the Montgomery store.
