BrandSource Prepped For Spring Summit

Orlando, Fla. – It’s game on for BrandSource’s annual Summit & Expo, which will be held here next month at the Marriott World Center.

The $12 billion-plus buying group for independent majap, CE and home furnishings dealers has a full line-up of seminars, workshops, inventory auctions and charity events on tap for the March 1-4 show, where newly-named CEO Jim Ristow will take the reins. Highlights include:

Young Professionals Group 5K Fun Run/Walk: BrandSource members and employees are invited to sign up for the group’s first-ever 5K Fun Run/Walk. The designated charity is Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the event will be held on Tues., March 3, at the Marriott World Center Pool. Participants should arrive by 6 a.m. to pick up their race registration packet because the race begins promptly at 6:30 a.m. All runners/walkers will receive a free T-shirt. The Stampede: BrandSource members will gather at the Marriott on Monday, March 2, at 5 p.m. for the popular Stampede bidding session, where dozens of suppliers provide aggressively-priced, show-only offers. Boost Your Facebook Marketing: During this Summit seminar, attendees will study best practices and learn how to instantly increase fans through free and paid platforms.

Social 2.0. Wait – What happened to Social 1.0?  Social media is free, but social media marketing, consisting of paid social content, is not. This seminar is about getting one’s brand in front of the consumer in a manner that tells a story that helps create growth and revenue. 

Furniture Sales: Stop Losing Sleep! At this seminar, the Furniture Training Co. will address some common sales-floor problems with its award-winning program on training, retaining and motivating sales staff.

Make $50,000 in Less Than One Hour: This session on budgeting and forecasting will offer detailed steps on how to create a budget, provide tools to demonstrate opportunities, and will suggest action-steps for when performance is not up to par.

How to Get Your Entire Team on the Profit Bandwagon: This seminar promises actual real-time examples of how to get the entire staff of a company involved in its profitability.
