New York City was buzzing last week as Rokid officially unveiled its latest innovation, the Rokid Glasses—the world’s lightest full-function AI and AR smart glasses. Weighing just 49 grams, these next-generation wearables combine augmented reality visuals, AI-powered features, integrated audio, and a 12MP first-person camera, all in a sleek, all-day wearable designed for both consumers and professionals.

The launch marked a milestone in wearable computing, signaling a shift from smartphones to AI-driven glasses that seamlessly integrate into daily life. Built on the Qualcomm AR1 platform, Rokid Glasses deliver real-time translation, object recognition, navigation, transcription, notifications, and other intelligent functions. Their lightweight design, industrial-grade durability, and stylish form factor make them ideal for everyday use, whether in professional environments, on the go, or simply as a companion for immersive experiences.

Through partnerships with over 50 universities worldwide, Rokid has engaged more than 5,000 students and faculty, resulting in over 200 academic and industry projects leveraging its SDK and cloud platform. This network ensures that Rokid Glasses will continue evolving with localized apps, innovative use cases, and services for users around the world.

The New York launch also featured a thought-leadership panel, “From Mobile to Wearable: The Rise of AI Glasses,” where experts from CNN, NYU, Columbia University, and the startup world explored adoption trends, healthcare applications, privacy, and the broader societal implications of wearable AI. Complementing this, Rokid introduced a podcast session, “AI Glasses for Social Good,” in collaboration with CaringKind, New York City’s leading organization for Alzheimer’s and dementia caregiving. The discussion highlighted how AI-powered glasses can enhance accessibility, memory support, and caregiving, offering real-world benefits to communities facing cognitive challenges.

Adding a creative twist, Rokid also launched its “Dream Journey” World Tour, sending storytellers around the globe to demonstrate the glasses in real-life scenarios—from skateboarding through foreign streets to capturing personal milestones. These journeys illustrate the practical, human-centered applications of wearable AI, showing how technology can enhance everyday experiences beyond technical demos.

For retailers and distributors, Rokid Glasses represent an exciting opportunity to enter the next frontier of consumer technology. With their combination of style, performance, and AI-driven functionality, backed by a thriving developer ecosystem, these smart glasses are poised to appeal to both tech-savvy consumers and professional users. As wearable AI moves from novelty to necessity, Rokid Glasses offer a glimpse into a future where technology empowers and connects, reshaping how people interact with the world around them.
