Hauppauge, N.Y. — Voxx Electronics has updated its Audiovox OEI factory radio media-upgrade product line with an iPhone app for control and configuration of its existing products.
The free app allows a 12-volt installer to customize the integration module during the installation with “an elegant and easy to use user interface,” Voxx said. They can also conduct basic troubleshooting and contact Audiovox customer service.
Features include verification of the module, its firmware version, enabling and disabling sources, and adjusting the audio levels of various connected devices.
The iPhone can also be used as a remote controller and source selector device, and can control the connected satellite radio tuner or connected Bluetooth accessory.
The app works with all Audiovox Silverline Duo and all MediaBridge products running firmware 7106 or newer. Firmware update for the universal RDS products will be available within 30 days, said Voxx.
All existing Audiovox OEI integration modules are end-user firmware updatable and the firmware updates are free for all registered product owners and Audiovox authorized installers, it added.
